A major league experience
It took the Hamilton County baseball team a few innings to get their act together June 6 at Busch Stadium.
However, once the Foxes calmed their nerves, they upended the Spokane (Mo.) Owls 10-3 in a nine-inning game in front of a huge Fox crowd. -
Cox claims Craig Golf Tourney
Upcoming Hamilton County sophomore Marc Cox secured a scorecard playoff victory over Centralia’s Kameron Decker on June 1 to claim the annual Pinckneyville Billie Ray Craig Memorial Golf Tournament.

Hamilton County High School junior Jeff Stewart is competing in the state track and field semifinals Thursday in the shot put and discus after qualifying with school-record throws in both events at the sectional.
