To the editor:
Former governor candidate Jim Burns, who the last few years has improved the ethics policies for the great Secretary of State Jesse White, would be an excellent “downstate”-beneficial representative for the great Gov. Pat Quinn ticket.
Jim graduated from McLeansboro High School, played basketball for Northwestern University and served outstandingly as the U.S. district attorney for the “Chicago” district of llinois. He has done an outstanding job of curtailing corruption and other illegal activities.
Since downstate needs a candidate to help Gov. Quinn win in November, I urge all who are interested in improving Illinois’ reputation to make every contact possible for his nomination by the Illinois Democratic Party.
Of course, there is much more to Jim Burns, but time needed to promote him is of the greatest essence.
Please ask your allies to support Mr. Burns for this great candidate.
