Geraldine Oathout, 90, of Belle Rive, passed away at 12:58 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at Mt. Vernon Health Care Center.
Mrs. Oathout was a homemaker.
She was born in Jefferson County on Oct. 8, 1919, a daughter of Frank and Mary (Clark) Drew. She married Melvin Oathout; he preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Raymond Capps officiating. Interment was at Flint Cemetery in Belle Rive.
Mrs. Oathout is survived by a son, Lindel Oathout and wife Gale of Belle Rive; a daughter-in-law, Sue Oathout of Spring Hill, Fla.; five grandchildren, Linda Brown, Lindel Ray Oathout Jr., Chris Oathout, Tanya Johnson and Cordell Oathout; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Drew of Rockford.
Mrs. Oathout attended Providence Community Church in Opdyke.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, James Oathout; one grandson, Ricky James Oathout; one brother, Oren Drew; and one sister, Louise Hughey.
