CARLYLE —
Flo Ann Buehler, 82, of Carlyle, entered into rest on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at her residence in Carlyle.
Mrs. Buehler was born July 17, 1928, in Belle Prairie, a daughter of Joseph and Eulalia (Karcher) Eswine.
She married Lloyd G. Buehler on July 19, 1947, in Piopolis; he preceded her in death July 17, 2004.
Mrs. Buehler is survived by seven daughters, Anne Tomlinson and husband David, Donna Cushing, Mary Ashby and husband Jim, Barbara Tomlinson and husband Donald, and Paula Piercey and husband Gregg, all of Lebanon, Tenn., and Jeanie Deiters and husband Ed and Geralyn Isenberg, all of Carlyle; three sons, Lloyd J. Buehler and wife Marlene of Centralia, Bill Buehler of Lebanon, Tenn., and David Buehler and wife Donna of Carlyle; 23 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Louis Eswine of Festus, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Eswine of Coco Beach, Fla., and Florence Eswine of Chesterfield, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Buehler was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carolyn Buehler, on Jan. 3, 1970; a grandson, Bradley Deiters, on June 4, 1971; a son-in-law, David Cushing; two brothers, Oscar and Bill Eswine; and a sister, Regina Speros and husband Tony.
Mrs. Buehler worked at a dress factory in McLeansboro, and was a loving housewife and mother. She enjoyed quilting, making baby toys and crafts and canning fruits and vegetables.
Flo Ann was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle, an honorary member of the USS Indiana Association and an active member of the Wilson County Senior Citizens Center in Lebanon, Tenn.
Mrs. Buehler was the matriarch of the Buehler Fan Club.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated July 24 at St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle with Father George, celebrant. Interment was at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carlyle.
Memorials in memory of Mrs. Buehler may be made to the St. Mary’s Church Baptismal Fountain Fund and will be received at Zieren Day Funeral Home, Carlyle.
