Ruby Davis, 85, of McLeansboro, died 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at McLeansboro Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker.
She was born April 27, 1924, in Dale, the daughter of Walker and Dollie (Mezo) Johnson. She married Forrest Davis on June 29, 1946, in McLeansboro; he preceded her in death on March 19, 2009.
Funeral services were Monday at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. John Smith officiating. Interment was at Ten Mile Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons, James Roger “Jim” Davis and wife Edna of Cadet, Mo., and Joseph Wayne Davis and wife Dee of Jefferson City, Mo.; sister-in-law Peggy Johnson of Grand Prairie, Texas; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Ruby loved crossword puzzles, puzzles, sewing and cooking. She was a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church in McLeansboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and two brothers.
Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro was in charge of arrangements.
